Berg Chalet

Sugar Bowl Resort, CA

This luxury mountain retreat is designed as a quiet refuge for busy California clients seeking a slower, more intentional way of living. Inspired by the Swiss and French Alps, the home blends chalet warmth with a clean, modern feel. It was created for a couple with fast-paced careers—he is a founder in the luxury fashion world, and she is an author. The space reflects their desire to unplug and reconnect with nature.

As a Swiss designer based in California, Eva Bradley brought a personal perspective to the project, merging her European roots with a West Coast lifestyle. Featured in California Home + Design, the home is described as a “quiet refuge,” with layered, material-rich interiors that feel both comfortable and refined. A soft neutral palette, sculptural forms, and tactile finishes add warmth and depth, while connecting the home to its alpine surroundings.
